Chae In-seon

Chae In-seon was born in 1962 in Hambaek, Gangwon-do and attended school in Seoul. Chae graduated from Sungkyunkwan University as a French Language and Literature major.  She worked as an editor at a publishing company and later began to write children’s books. She has written many picture books including Urina, the Best Driver Ever!, How was Gimbap Made?, The Monkey Siblings, Dumpling’s Made by the Big Hands Grandmother, Daughters are Great, The Red-Striped Pants, and I’m My Own Boss, as well as books for children such as My Desk Mate Choe Yeong-dae, The Beautiful Dictionary of Values, and My First Korean Dictionary.

Choi Eun-ju (Ilustrator)

Choi Eun-ju studied Art Education at Hongik University Education Graduate School and illustrates children’s picture books. Her first book was Urina, the Best Driver Ever!, and her second book was How was Gimbap Made?, which she illustrated to express the heartfelt desire of the mother pig’s hope to see her kids grow up well.

Charlie Chung (Translator)

Chung is a translator of children’s literature.  She studied translation at Ewha Women’s University GSTI and worked for a publishing agency introducing Korean children’s books around the world. She has translated many Korean children’s books into English and been in a doctoral program in translation studies.
